Bringing Colour to Your Care
COLOURFUL NEW LOOK FOR SUPPORT SERVICES
Mindful of the influence of colour on residents’ wellbeing, One Care Support Services, a Federally-accredited support services provider in metropolitan Adelaide, is transforming its visual identity as part of a complete refresh of its brand to reflect the significance to its residents of vibrant, colourful spaces set aside for the support of those who are neurodiverse or who are living with a physical disability.
One Care offers practical and nurturing disability care in either a Supported Residential Facility or one of two Supported Independent Living Facilities. It is helping people to lead more fulfilling, independent lives by providing
extraordinary support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and other special health needs.
Now, a brand-new cheerful-looking company logo has been created by professional design consultants that pops
with vibrant colours designed to complement and better showcase One Care’s commitment to its residents.
The novel, contemporary corporate image and its associated colour scheme is reflective of One Care’s core purpose – helping people to put their lives back on track with professional support and gentle caring in residential and quasi-residential environments.
It has been developed especially for use throughout the range of the facility’s operations. There are exciting plans to refresh the interior spaces of living and office accommodation using a variety of different hues purposefully chosen to evoke positive, emotive subconscious responses in people living and working within those spaces. It will eventually be incorporated into uniform design, stationery, and the company website.
Graphic designers commissioned to produce the new look for One Care were inspired by patterns seen in objects ranging from cracked mud to a giraffe’s mottled hide. They wanted to create a logo that is, figuratively, transformative in the ways in which multiple aspects of health support services merge to create a holistic approach
to neurodiversity and physical disability care and support.
One Care’s overall intent is to create within its facilities a harmonious, warm ambience that is calming and, where
necessary, uplifting.
In a related distinctive initiative, residents will be encouraged to create personal, colourful pieces of art using pens, pencils, crayons to illustrate a blank, framed canvas. These will be displayed either in their room, hung outside on their bedroom door or may even adorn the walls of the facility in which they reside.
One Care acknowledges that colour is related to perceptions of reality. People are by nature enigmatic, made up of many different elements, hence each person will take in the company’s colour schemes through their own sensory
apparatus, their cultural perspective, and their own experience.
One Care Support Services’ initiative is reflective of the company’s philosophy of deeply caring for its residents and, by extension, its staff, in the belief that it can deliver optimal outcomes for those with whom it comes in contact.
