Supported Independent Living at One Care Support Services
SIL is for people who need a significant amount of help throughout the day, seven days a week. One Care Support Services ensures 24-hour attention and availability of support at a specially equipped residence. Our staff offer the expert care and support you need to live independently in one of our two support homes. Each caters for up to three people, ensuring a higher level of personalised care. We seek to nurture a culture of independence among each of our residents.
Caring at our Supported Independent Living Facility
Do you need 24/7 support? You can live your life to the fullest with our Supported Independent Living Service. You will have trained practical care.
Short Term Accommodation (STA)
Our Short-Term Accommodation, including respite, is funding for support and accommodation for a short time away from your usual home. It covers the cost of your care in another place for up to 14 days at a time. You might have a short stay with other people, or by yourself.
Here's how we can help
Personal Hygiene
- Dressing and preparing for the day.
- Medication assistance
- Continence management
- Care of pressure sores (under appropriate nursing supervision)
- Assisting with the use of aids to daily living/rehabilitation aids
- Helping with rehabilitation and enablement programs
Dietary Care and Cooking
A balanced, nutritious diet is essential. It can be hard to know what to eat sometimes. We will liaise with health professionals and family on specific dietary requirements, including personal preferences, to ensure your needs are met.

Personal Care
Everyday tasks can get harder with different health issues. One Care Support Services provides personal care and can help with continence management, assistance with medication, and rehabilitation and enablement programs provided by a health and social care professional.
Social and Community Participation
One Care Support Services can assist you in accessing the community the way you like it. Here are some examples of how your support worker can help:
- Help you access the community and assist you in attending to any errands you may have.
- Help investigate and create opportunities for you to engage in activities of interest to you.
- Assist you with attending appointments and help you maintain your health and well-being.
- Help you with maintaining your family and personal connections by assisting you in visiting loved ones.
